Robert D’Alfonso, DDS
After graduating from dental school in 1998, Dr. D’Alfonso went into practice in The Woodlands with Guy M. Lewis to gain more exposure/experience with cutting-edge, comprehensive full mouth restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He soon got involved with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and became a sustaining member, a credential he still maintains with ongoing continuing education.
After meeting his wife, Allison, in The Woodlands and marrying in 2009, he ventured with her back home to central Texas, establishing Lakeway Center for Cosmetic and Family Dentistry in 2010. He started training with Implant Surgery in 2013 and soon after obtained Fellowship status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Personally, he enjoys spending much time with his wife, Allison, as well as their three children (Joseph, Tenley, and Caleb). His other hobbies include golf, workouts, downhill skiing, and lots of reading.
Professionally, he has always made time to take care of those in need with numerous mission trips. Also, once a month, he travels to Belton and donates his dental services at the Body of Christ Community Clinic.
Laura | Office Manager
Laura has worked in the dental industry for more than 15 years. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Therapy. After working as a Registered Music Therapist – Board Certified at St. David’s Rehabilitation Center, Laura honed her professional skills as a Human Resources and Leadership Development Specialist - PHR, at State Farm Insurance Companies in Austin, Texas. In 2003, she stepped away from her professional career to focus on raising her three children with her husband, Dwayne. During that time, she met Dr. D’Alfonso and joined his team as Office Manager in 2010. Laura enjoys both the technical and people aspects of dentistry. She understands how important it is for a patient to feel comfortable when they are in the dental office. She is proficient in helping patients understand their treatment and financial options.
Glorie | Registered Dental Hygienist
Glorie has been a Dental Hygienist for over 20 years. Glorie takes her time explaining the treatment process and enjoys giving her patients the happy healthy smile they deserve. Glorie is a people person and she really enjoys visiting with her patients. Glorie has attended many continuing education courses allowing her to always give the very best care to her patients. Glorie enjoys watching baseball and spending time with her husband and two sons. She also enjoys walking her dog, Bubbles.
Somer | Dental Hygienist
Somer has been a dental hygienist for over 18 years. She loves it. She loves educating people on their dental health and learning about her patients. She moved from Iowa to Austin in 2017 to be close to her two grandkids and to enjoy the warm weather. On her days off, she likes to hike with her husband and enjoys outdoor activities. She loves to cook different cuisines and she travels around the world. She believes people learning about different cultures broadens the mind and makes the world a better place.
Stephanie | Dental Assistant
Stephanie is a born and raised true South Austinite. She currently resides in South Austin. She has been a Registered Dental Assistant for 20 years and loves everything about it. She is fluent in American Sign Language, as she grew up with deaf parents. She has been married to her best friend for 23 years and has two girls, 20 and 13 years old. When she isn't on the soccer field watching her 13-year-old, she enjoys going for long runs with her dog "Judge". Stephanie also enjoys reading. When it is a family affair, her family enjoys fishing together, whether it be bay fishing or offshore. Her family enjoys being outdoors. The most rewarding for her is her relationship with her patients and their children who she gets to see grow up into adulthood. When it comes to dentistry, she feels there is nothing more satisfying than a patient excited with their results. It is very fulfilling. She is compassionate and understands what the patient wants. Stephanie loves continuously learning about all aspects of dentistry and cannot wait to further her career and relationships.
Jennifer | Dental Assistant
Jennifer has been in the Austin area since 2010. She and her daughter, Savanah, relocated here from Florida. Jennifer has a heart for serving others and loves her position as a dental assistant. Jennifer studied hospitality management at the University of Central Florida and feels right at home providing the best care possible to all patients who enter their dental offices. Jennifer loves being outdoors, and most of her activities revolve around adventures with Savanah and their dog Dani. Jennifer loves to travel and has visited many foreign countries in addition to her travels at home.
Chloe | Office Assistant
Chloe is a native Texan with a big heart and a knack for helping people. She is happily married and head-over-heels for her husband of two years. They share an apartment with their very active but very spoiled Whippet, Aphrodite. Chloe loves working at an office with caring individuals where there is constant laughter and never a dull moment. She plans on exploring the world little by little and expanding her knowledge of dentistry and business along the way. Lakeway Cosmetic Dentistry offers the best treatment and staff around!
